MISSION STATEMENT AMSTERDAM ARENA

The Amsterdam ArenA is the football stadium of the Netherlands, home base of AFC Ajax and the Dutch national team. Besides that it provides multi-functional accommodation for both large national and international music and dance events and smaller gatherings predominantly in the corporate business segment. These activities take place in close cooperation with several partners. Quality service, state-of-the-art facilities, safety and optimal public perception are the main strategic pillars. The Amsterdam ArenA is one of the most sustainable stadiums in the world and is regarded internationally as a role model for modern stadium construction and exploitation. The Innovation Center acts as a living lab for innovative concepts for stadium management and event experiences.

FOUNDERS AMSTERDAM ARENA

Financing of the Amsterdam ArenA has largely been made possible by the contribution of money in the form of capital contributed by eight major limited partners. These companies are the Founders of the Amsterdam ArenA. CORPORATE STRUCTURE OF THE AMSTERDAM ARENA

The 'Vereniging Van Eigenaars Amsterdam ArenA' [Association of Owners of Amsterdam ArenA] consist of the municipality of Amsterdam and Stadion Amsterdam N.V. The municipality of Amsterdam (Amsterdam car parks) operates the Transferium and other car parks. The public limited company is the owner of the stadium and 'Entreegebouw'. They are leased to 'Stadion Amsterdam C.V.' which takes care of all operational issues. Stadion Amsterdam Exploitatie B.V. (a wholly owned subsidiary of 'Stadion Amsterdam N.V.) is the managing partner in the limited partnership.Eight major companies are the limited partners in the partnership. They have paid an amount of € 2.27 million per company (Philips has paid double that amount) and are referred to as 'Founder'. The money has not been contributed in the form of share capital, but as a limited partnership capital in the limited partnership. The Founders have certain rights, such as the right of use of a lounge for 10 persons with a view of the football field, as well as exclusive advertising rights, and delivery of goods and/or services.
