Project description

Arena Fonte Nova is a new multipurpose stadium with a capacity of 50,000 seats upgradeable to 60,000 seats. It was designed by Schulitz + Partner architects and it was built for the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and 2014 FIFA World Cup. It will host several matches during both tournaments. After the 2014 World Cup the stadium will be used by local (Série A) teams E.C. Bahía and E.C. Vitória. Arena Fonte Nova is developed by our client ‘Fonte Nova Participações’ in a Public Private Partnership (PPP) with the state of Bahía.

Our Services

We have been appointed by Fonte Nova Negócios e Participações to advise them on the design of the stadium, to prepare a comprehensive business plan and to set up the management and operational organization of Arena Fonte Nova. We reviewed the operational design of the stadium complex and surrounding area, paying special attention to FIFA requirements and future operations of Arena Fonte Nova. Since 2012, a team of our specialists is based full time in Salvador. We are closely involved in setting up the entire organization and training the local staff.

We have signed a multi-decade contract for Arena Fonte Nova. In the years to come we will be involved in the general management, match day organization, facility management and commercial activities of Arena Fonte Nova.
